Fraud Alert
Allegis Group is aware of ongoing fraudulent behaviour whereby individuals falsely present themselves as employees, affiliates agents, recruiters or representatives of Allegis Group or its brands (Actalent; Aerotek; Allegis Global Solutions; Aston Carter; CareerCircle, Getting Hired; Major, Lindsey & Africa; MarketSource, QuantumWork Advisory; TEKsystems) and contact individuals regarding an employment or investment opportunity. Such fraudsters are impersonating Allegis Group, its brands and employees to offer employment opportunities, services or certifications through Allegis Group companies. The fraudulent actors are using similar domain names, email addresses, marks, and logos of Allegis Group to deceive unsuspecting job seekers and the general public.
Allegis Group or its brands will never:
- Ask prospective job seekers for any payment to access our employment services including attending interviews or to receive job offers.
- Ask candidates to pay a fee to secure employment or in order to receive payment of their wages or salary.
- Ask prospective job seekers to use WhatsApp.
- Ask prospective job seekers to send sensitive personal or financial information via text.
In addition, Allegis Group or its brands
do not:
- Operate any websites or mobile applications which ask people to make investments, purchase products or pay any money to receive commission payments.
- Offer payment for engaging with social media or liking videos or blog posts.
- Send email communications from encrypted sites like Proton Mail.
- Send emails or text messages asking for sensitive information such as bank details or other personally identifiable information, except for legitimate business purposes.
- Send emails or text messages to charge or accept any amounts of money. Therefore, do not send money at any time to anyone claiming to be from Allegis Group or its brands in relation to prospective employment, or to receive wages or salary, or commission earning investments, either directly or via a mobile application.
Allegis Group shall not be liable for loss or damage suffered as a consequence of any participation by any persons in any such fraudulent and unauthorized schemes.
How to Protect Yourself
- Be cautious when opening links or attachments from unknown third parties; also, be cautious of links or attachments that seem suspicious from a familiar source. In this case, contact the sender to verify.
- Check all email addresses allegedly from Allegis Group or its brands. Make sure that the emails contain the correct domain (@allegisgroup.com; @actalentservices.com @aerotek.com; @allegisglobalsolutions.com; @astoncarter.com; @mlaglobal.com; @marketsource.com; @teksystems.com).
- Do not respond to texts from unknown numbers or any others that appear suspicious, such as texts from an email address.
- Watch out for misspellings and grammatical errors in messages and in the domain names.
- Never share sensitive personal or financial information by text.
- When downloading any mobile application, we encourage you to ensure the application is sourced from a trusted source such as Google Play or the Apple ‘App’ Store.
